Lacco Ameno is a fishing village where you can walk and shop, or have a drink looking at the sea, the fishing boats and the famous “mushroom”, a rocky boulder that emerges from the waters and whose shape reminds of that of a mushroom.
The history of Lacco Ameno is linked to the beginning of civilization on the island and in southern Italy: for centuries it has been the only inhabited center of the island. Here the famous Nestor’s Cup was found, which bears three verses of love of extraordinary beauty.
